Last year, while in the midst of making a final decision on whether or not to quit my full-time job, I stumbled upon Textbroker. I thought to myself "Here we go with another scam website that promises to pay you for working from home." I decided to do a little research on the company and was prepared to read countless negative reviews about how people were scammed but something happened, I couldn't find anything negative about the company. I spent the next half hour or so reading the positive reviews that people had left about Textbroker on numerous blogs and decided that they were worth giving a shot. A little while later I received an e-mail from Textbroker.com stating that I was accepted to their website as an Author and my overall rating was a 3 out of a possible 5. I was elated! I quickly logged back into their website and browsed around the many articles for my writing level. I chose to write a 300-word article review for the Lego: Prince of Persia collectible set. It said that if my article was accepted I would be paid $3.00 for writing it. That meant for every 100 words I wrote for Textbroker, I would be paid $1.00. I did a Google search to find out some information about the new toy and began to write my review. I was really surprised how fast I was able to come up with 300 words about an item I knew nothing about five minutes before. Once I submitted my article I waited to hear back from Textbroker on whether or not it was accepted, not knowing how long the acceptance process was. The very next morning I received an e-mail saying that it was in fact submitted and I was paid $3.00 for writing it.
In order to receive your payment from Textbroker.com you need to have accumulated at least $10.00 in your Textbroker account, which is great! You get paid bi-weekly and the money is transferred over to your Paypal account within 24 hours of your payment request. Textbroker states that it may take up to 3 days to receive your money, but I've always received it within 24 hours. Since I began writing for Textbroker in late 2010 I have made a total of $1176.34. Keep in mind that I only write in my spare time and I don't consider this a full-time job. If I were to sit down and write for them 8 hours a day on a daily basis I could have made on average of $50.00 - $75.00 per day. My first payout from them for a weeks worth of articles back in 2010 was for $290.30 which I was really proud of considering I never left my home to make that money.
